Activating the Brain~Body Connection for Healing
Promote Health and Wellness, Not Disease and Illness
The founder of Unified Therapy™, Dr Paul J Canali of the Evolutionary Healing (EH) Institute in Miami has been involved in the study of the human condition for over 30 years. He was a pioneer in the biopsychosocial model of disease and suffering and the intergenerational effects of toxic stress and trauma; especially how toxic stress and trauma affect the brain and body.
He is associated and accredited with pioneering somatic brain body therapies, including many terms that are often used today in the field of medicine and psychology, especially those related to autonomic nervous system regulation. Dr Canali is the founder of Unified Therapy™ and teaches its concepts and techniques to other healthcare professionals.
Dr Canali represents a new, rare breed of physicians. Physician-Healer is a physician who is well-versed in the mind, science and psychology of human beings, but also has developed something else – an intuitive skill that expands the ability to heal suffering.
Dr Canali periodically joins Jim in Rockledge for healing weekends, working with Integrative Bodywork clients.
Brendan Zachar, AP of The Brevard Center for Integrative Medicine, is a board certified and licensed Acupuncture Physician who excels at treating pain, stress, and fertility issues. Brendan began his journey by studying Health Sciences at the University of Central Florida and thereafter graduating from the Florida College of Integrative Medicine with a Masters of Science In Oriental Medicine. He has been in private practice since 2010 and has since then dedicated much of his life to exploring innovate approaches towards achieving health.
He believes that an Integrative approach that combines 21st century medicine with treatments such as: Acupuncture, Progressive Relaxation, Meditation, Herbal Medicine and Nutritional Counseling are quickly adding to a new standard of American Health Care.
Brendan believes that real healing occurs when patients have an awareness and understanding of how their mind's and body's function. His holistic treatments focus on resolving core issues and not just treating symptoms, and helping patients to create positive change in their lives by opening up new possibilities for health and transformation. He takes great care in sharing with patients much of the beauty and artistry of mind-body medicine, so that it may help them as much as it has helped him.
